The women of the Diocese of Pennsylvania have been known for decades to be voices of action and justice in the church. Undeniably, many women in this diocese can look to other women who have empowered them and en-couraged them to do the work of Christ in this world. It is in celebration of the giftedness of women that St. Thomas’, Whitemarsh has joined with women lay leaders in the diocese to host this Women’s Conference.
We are blessed to be hosting Dr. Jane Williams from London, England on October 8, 9 and 10, 2009. Dr. Williams’ theological interests are the foundation for our conference this fall entitled:
Throughout this conference we hope that each woman will discover what it means to be made in the image of God, to listen to God’s unique call in her life and be empowered to act in response to God’s call. We have been blessed by the women who have gone before us. We are praying and planning for God to use this conference as a means for blessing women in our own day and for generations to come. Please join us.
