Planned giving

Every bequest, whether a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your funds, or the residual of your resources, represents a powerful testament of faith and gratitude, leaving a lasting and impactful legacy on the life of our parish. Large or small, a gift of any amount is meaningful.

You do not need to redo your will to leave a gift to St. Thomas’. You can draft a simple statement to add to your existing will, which states that you wish to give to St. Thomas’. Sample language might include: “I give, devise, and bequeath (state amount or percentage of the value of your resources) to St. Thomas’ Church, Whitemarsh to be used as the church’s Vestry deems appropriate.”

The 1698 Legacy Society was created to honor those who take the step of making a bequest or other planned gift to secure the heritage and growth of St. Thomas’ for generations to come. We invite you to celebrate what St. Thomas’ means to you by joining the Society through a planned gift commitment.

If you have already included St. Thomas’ in your will, and you have not yet notified us, please let us know so that we can enroll you in The 1698 Legacy Society. You do not need to disclose the amount of your intended gift, but we would like to recognize your generosity, or you may remain anonymous.
