Dave is passionate about helping individuals and communities connect more deeply with God and each other through worship, prayer, study, and service. He is never too busy to meet with you over coffee or lunch to get to know you and hear more about your spiritual journey. A priest and poet, Dave began his ministry at St. Thomas’ in January 2024. Previously, Dave served at St. Mary’s, Tuxedo Park, New York; St. Mark’s, Jacksonville, Florida; and St. John’s, Tallahassee. At each of these parishes, he has sought to integrate contemplative spirituality with evangelism. He holds a B.A. in English from Muhlenberg College, a M.Div. from The General Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. in English/Creative Writing from Florida State University. Dave is working towards becoming a certified International Coaching Federation leadership coach and is committed to lifelong learning. Currently, he is learning the Irish language. An avid cyclist and sporadic fly fisherman, Dave’s spirit is refreshed by being outdoors with family and friends. He is married to Carol and has four sons: Daniel, Thomas, Michael, and Paul.
